Happy Memorial Day Everyone!!!
Wow, can't believe we have been home a month already. Time is flying by. It's been a weird winter here this year and we are all waiting on spring/summer.
We left AYB on the 25th of April even though a strong front was moving east. As usual once we have our sights on home we tend to ignore some of the warnings (whether on the boat or in a car). We somehow convince ourselves it wont be that bad. Rain and 30-40MPH head winds for the 1700 mile drive - arriving home in time for the first warm weekend (mid 70 degrees) they had seen for at least 6 months.
Pumping out the holding tank is a sure sign we are ready to leave.
Moving Broulee into covered storage would be another.
We did get the pullman berth cushion finished before leaving.
OOPS, WE MAY HAVE GOTTEN HERE A LITTLE BIT EARLY (April 26th, 2013).
And then so much for the teaser of warm weather - by Tuesday we had more snow move thru.
"Are you tired of shoveling that global warming out of your driveway yet?"
It was a BUST for fishing opener (May 11th) at our cabin near Mille Lacs Lake.
Anyway, it's good to be back with the grandkids. Georgia popped over after running a 10K marathon with her mom - I don't know for sure, but, something about getting pelted with colored powder at the finish line?
Cooper invited us to Track and Field day at his elementary school - he rocked it!!!

Yard and gardens have been cleaned, trees pruned and pontoon boat and dock are in.
We are ready for summer.
