Basically, so far, our weather really sucks. We get a couple of teaser days then right back to rain, wind and cool temps. 25 of the last 40 days have been rain. Sounds like most of the midwest has had the same. It makes us appreciate a sunny day more than we normally would. We used to take them for granted.
I want to wish my amazing father a Happy Father's Day. All three of his girls were proud to share his special day with him. Dad thanks for always understanding and loving your #1 girl (ok, so I am #1 because I was born first, in reality he loves all three of his girls equally).
Dad and me when I had him all to myself (prior to sister #2 and sister #3).
Speaking of family - three generations of Smiths heading out for the Bill Murray Bass Tournament - good luck boys!!!
Brad, Rick & Cooper
Cooper decided to catch whatever he could get - nice Sunfish buddy.
Mom and Dad Loon on Bald Eagle Lake
In the meantime we participated in an experiment - watching chicks hatch. Our friends Bob and Pam decided to show their grandchildren how eggs become chickens, we came along for the ride.
Pam, Deb, Cooper and Georgia paitently waiting for a chick to hatch.
Chick is starting to peck his way out.
Wow, that was alot of work.
Hey you over there - wake up!!
We have officially kicked off boating season (in between rain storms). Brad and Cooper enjoying the lake.
Izzy's daily job is to torment the wrens. The male wren gets a daily butt kicking from his wife - he showed up two weeks before her to find this lovely well protected spot. Mrs. Wren is asking - "really, did you not notice the big black dog when you chose this spot?"
Keeping the dream of summer alive, when we can.
